My Donation

July 26, 20225 - Today I was honored to donate my 9ft surfboard, Lizzy the Longboard, to Elizabethan Gardens. She was created in 2022. I spent 69 hours painting her with acrylic paint, including some blacklight reflective, glow in the dark, and glitter paint. She has lived at Gen Z Art and Gifts, Nags Head, NC, and Artsy Octopus. She will now stay with the Gar

dens until they decide if she will live with them or be used to help raise money for them.

I spent some time this afternoon talking with Kelly and Shawna (sorry to the gentleman, I missed your nametag). They were thrilled when they saw her in person and then were surprised by the Blacklight show; it truly is a sight to see in person. Their excitement filled me with pride, reaffirming that donating her was the right decision. Thank you to Michelle, Maria, and Lauren for allowing her to make the move.
